Maybe I missed it, but can't seem to find which AD attribute is used for the extension in 3CX. I've done what I think is correct, only to have it still start at 0001 instead of the extension from Office 365 (AD),

Thanks

That's exact the same i figured out. 3CX doesn't inherit the phone number and starts every time with the lowest number.
I think this is not useable.
You have no chance to allocate the numbers. It's start at the lowest number and to the user in alphabetical order...

I know v16 isn't supported, but be nice if someone from 3CX could address this. It's definitely not usable as you can't even change the extension after import.

I have Sync with Office 365 account, as show in attached files. However, It didn't syn my contact to 3cx contact. Why?

Hi,

We upgraded to V16 and now Exchange sync (user private exchange contacts) is not working anymore. Before on V15x it was working fine (synced every night).
3CX is running on a VM in linux version.

below is a example of the failed contact sync

Code:
2019/03/26 14:42:22.191|1746|0023|Info|Synchronization from personal addressbook(<email address>) for extension xxxx started...
2019/03/26 14:42:22.211|1746|0023|Erro|Error while checking contacts from personal addressbook <email address> for extension xxxx
2019/03/26 14:42:22.213|1746|0023|Excpt|System.ComponentModel.Win32Exception (0x80090020): GSSAPI operation failed with error - An invalid status code was supplied (Unknown error).

Has anyone exchange contact sync working on V16 and Exchange Server 2013?

What are the specific User attributes that 3CX pulls from Office 365 Users? Specifically where does it get the extension from? I am trying to switch from manually input users to sync them and rather than recognizing there is already a user with that name in 3CX it created a new user with 0000 extension.

The work-around I have for this is to create the extension first, including the email address, and then add that user account to the list of synced users. A bit less automated than desired but it works. I wish it also pulled in pictures Office 365.

At the moment the numbers are not synced. Every time the users get numbers starting from the lowest that is free in the system.

Any update on this? Isn't this "feature" basically unusable as it is?

Hello
We are planning a good pump on the Office 365 integration module. Unfor not in upcoming update 3, but it's coming soon.

To all the followers in this thread, please bear with us a little while longer. The update will iron all the top issues at one go. Microsoft also released an update to their graph api. We will use it to gain latest and also will allow us to add more support and fix some sync issues too!! Not all issues were 3CX issues. We had api and support constraints. So this is definitely Coming soon..

Thanks for all your reports. They were very useful.

Please tell me we will be able to choose a defined range of extensions for the auto-import? That's all I need to know.

Hopefully we will get Public Folder Contact Sync again in v16... I hear it has been removed. (I have not tried v16 on a Windows box)

In onPrem Exchange it exists as before, it is still missing for Office365 currently but is on the roadmap to add shared mailboxes as public phonebook...

Thanks for the reply... yes, i am using public folder sync with 365 right now in 15.5.

It was mentioned the Office 365 extension sync maybe showing up in update 3, but we're at update 5 and still doesn't look implemented. Any update? Thanks

I've already done the integration. If you look at the complete thread, there's the issue of extensions not coming over from Office 365, and instead, they are assigned starting from 0 and can't be changed. I'm asking if that's been addressed as it was mentioned in the thread that they would fix that at a later release.
