Hello,

We are running the latest 3cx 15.5 Sp6.
In 3cx management console, we have noticed the following:

When an extension has specific office hours (Extensions - - > Forwarding Rules - - > Auto Switch) their Current Status changes to "DND" during out of office hours.
However, when an extension uses Global Office Hours (no Auto-switch), their Current Status remains "Available", even during out of office hours.

Question 1:
Is this the expected behavior? If no, what have we possibly configured that keeps the extensions' Current Status as Available, even during out of office hours? I would expect that during out of office horus, an extension is set to DND and does NOT remain available.

We have also noticed that by default, each new extension that we create has its Queues Status set to LoggedOut.
We have to manually set it to "LoggedIn" in order for an extension to be able to receive incoming Calls as a member of a Call Queue.

We need the following:
We need to change the Queues Status of an extension to LoggedIn automatically, during their office hours. During their out of office hours, the extensions should be logged out of the queue, but their Current Status should remain to Available.

Question 2:
Is there a way to achieve that?

Regards,
George

Hi George,

Q1: Yes this is the expected behavior (whether global or specific hours are selected with auto-switching ON). So the PBX performs a status change effectively, and whether you are logged in or out of queues depends on the status settings of each extension under Forwarding Rules->Statuses.

The first time the the user will have to manually log in to the queue by dialling the login code *62. Note that if they manually log out of a queue in the future, they will have to manually log in again (auto-switching will not log them in that queue they were explicitly logged out of)

Q2: Depending on what you need to do there might be other ways of doing it. For example don't have auto-switching on the users so they are always available and always in the queue, but divert the specific trunk elsewhere during out of office hours. They will remain available but they will not receive queue calls.
