We created a playlist with 5 wav files. (each one is an advertisement, etc).
We are using the Call Queue feature with this.
We had to add about 10 seconds of silence at the beginning of the first wav file, because it would start talking underneath our Intro Prompt.
Even after the silence added, it would still play underneath the Intro Prompt. If I delete the other 4 wave files, it works fine and doesn't play underneath the Intro Prompt.
As soon as I add more wav files, it plays underneath again.
If this was music playing, no big deal. Is this a bug?

Regarding your question, this is by design with queues, and when there is a prompt configured for a queue, the MOH will be played under the queue prompt at a lower volume.

I added 10 seconds of silence to the wav file, but the system didn't play the silence. Is there another way I can achieve this? Or maybe submit a feature request, because I feel this would enhance what my customers would want. And I believe there are other phone systems that have this feature.

Hi,

MOH does not start at the beginning like a prompt so you would have to have and entire wav file of silence uploaded for MOH, but this will mean that there will be silence when calls are put on hold.

Tip, record your prompt in a queue containing the message that you want to relay to callers and upload actual music for the music on hold.
