Hello All,

There are currently 2 extensions that are not showing in the Admin-User and want to note that they are listed as the owners. We are able to see these 2 extensions on the app and team end of the web client. Is there a way to add or a reason they are not showing? thanks!

Could you please confirm which access role is assigned to the extension you are using to check the Admin > Users screen? Is this a System Owner, or is it assigned a different role?

If you were not originally logged in as a System Owner, could you check if the missing extensions appear when you log in with System Owner credentials?

I will ask the system owner to confirm what their role is as I am not able to see that as a System Admin. will find out.

it has been confirmed that both extensions can been seen in the users and the access role is that of Owner.

Hello @shahrad ,

Just to clarify for everyone, within a 3CX PBX there are two different roles that might be mixed up by people not familiar with the system:

"System Owner" - this is the absolute super user, their extensions configuration is hidden from all other roles, but they are visible normally for calls unless they choose to hide themselves. A 3CX PBX must have at least on System Owner to function correctly.

"Owner" - this is the top Department level role, meant for administrative tasks rather than technical. It has much less overall power and rights.

For a full description of account Roles in 3CX please see: https://www.3cx.com/docs/manual/access-roles/

could a user that was given System Administrator rights be able to see the owners in the Admin users, primarily to go have them add/create Users for the owners to be able to add IP Phones.

currently the user (not owner) system admin is not able to add or see the extensions for the owners in the Users tab.

Please note that when the system admin tries to add the extension in the Admin>Users the message 'Value already in use' comes up

I suggest using a different extension as System Owner, then the business owner can have a normal extension. Then the system owner extension is only used for changes requiring its access level.

Test it before changing the current system owner's role.

Hello,
we have two system-admins.
We can’t see each other in the admin area, but we can live with that.
We also have a DECT trunk. When I try to add a new user here, the message “user does not exist” appears under the other system-admin.
I can’t save the DECT trunk because I can’t see the other system-admin.
And he can’t save the DECT trunk because he doesn’t see me.

Saving the DECT trunk still worked with version 20.0 Update 8.
The problem exists since Update 9.

If I made both system-adminis to system-owners, we could save the DECT trunk, but then we wouldn’t be able to see who we’re calling ("Show My Calls" in Department).

Creating a new user with system-owner privileges to save the DECT trunk would be an option, but it would require an additional extension (extensions are now limited by the license).
