Maybe it is an idea to apply the new password policy to your own generated passwords for provisioning phones.
Now when provisioning a phone you get a red exclamation mark that it does not match the password policy, but the phonesystem itself creates this password...
What I also find really annoying (which changed some updates ago) is that you cannot assign a custom template by default. You have to delete the system template en add a new one and copy the MAC address an IP address from the SBC. This is really a lot of work when deploying new phones.
