Hi,

I have a sip provider and have multiple tel numbers assigned to the single sip line.
I want to send different Tel numbers depending on what extension is used to dial out. (all the numbers are registered to our SIP)
If under the General tab I change the Main trunk Number to one of the numbers, the person I call sees the different numbers, so I know the provider is sending out the different DID's.

The incoming works a treat so someone calling 12345 gets sent to extension 200, smsone calling 54321 gets send to 201

I'm stuck on the next step.

Any changes I do on the outbound parameters normally causes a sip line failure when dialing.

To recap. From extension 200 I want the person called to see 12345 and from extension 201 they should see 54321

Obv those numbers are just for example.

Any ideas ?
Thanks

Hi,

Just cracked it.

On each extension set Outbound Caller ID to the relevant Telephone number.
On the Sip line
P-Asserted Identity : User Part set to "OutboundCallerid" Caller ID taken from Extension Settings in Management Console"

Thanks anyway

Glad you figured it out. It would help if you mention the SIP provider as not all providers are the same and may require the outbound CID placed in a different field.
