I have a hosted 3cx instance, and the way the client wanted voicemail was to have just one general inbox. The question is, how can I have the notification email sent to multiple users? There are a few office assistants that would possibly be checking this.

Second question is, we have a PageAll ring group that does as it says on the tin. Pages all the phones as well as a Fanvil PA2s for an announcement system out on the floor. Problem is, when we page, it also pages out to the owner's cell phone app, not just his desk phone. For the time being, we've just removed his phone from the group, but is there a way to prevent this from hitting his app?

Regarding your questions, to receive a Voicemail to an email address for multiple users, you can consider a distribution list configured on your mail server so that when an email arrives at the email address of the user extension that is set with the distribution list email address, it will be distributed to the members of the distribution group email account.

This is not possible for the second question, as all phones configured in the extension will receive the page calls if they are members of the paging group.

That is what I figured might be the case. Thanks for the confirmation.

Depending on how the owner is using the 3cx app (Receiving or Calling out or both) he can deactivate the app in the app menu until he needs to use it, then reactivate it. We have a lot of users who use the app this way.

Okay, riddle me this, I've not seen a way to deactivate the app? On android, there is a Silent option, which is what I use on mine, but I did not find this on iOS.

As for some kind of deactivate option, I just don't see anything on either version. This is probably some kind of behind-the-milk so it doesn't exist scenario, so where am I missing it?

Edit: Also, as an aside, is there a way to have the VM indicator on phones show when there's a VM waiting on another box? I know that our old Mitel system could do that. I'm grasping for a straw on this one, but figured I'd ask.

Edited...If you long press your account you get the option to deactivate on Android

There is a check box on iPhone that you can uncheck

App UI designers.... this is how you DON'T make things visible to your users.....

Thanks, Les. BTW, I'm not 100%, but I don't recall seeing this check box option on the iOS version, I think they may have updated it recently and made it the same. i also might have just not noticed it. Not my iPhone, so I wasn't poking around too much.
