Hello!

We are currently testing headsets from Jabra, for example, the Evolve2 65 or the Evolve2 65 Flex.
The environment includes 3CXv18 and web clients as an app (PWA) within chrome.

Jabra's headsets are available in "MS Teams" and "UC" variants. Generally, Jabra recommends that in environments not exclusively using MS Teams, the UC variant should be used.

But here's the catch:
The MS Teams variant works flawlessly. With the UC variant, the button on the headset for answering and ending calls does not work (The Jabra software has not been installed!).

(Although we use MS Teams, it is quite infrequent.)

Is the issue with the function button on the headset a software bug? Or is it because the Jabra software has not been installed? The admins would, of course, be happy to avoid another installation.

Does anyone have a recommendation?

Best regards.

Note that vendor software might also be required to be installed for the integration(you can test this on your machine as well) however this is not a tested or supported vendor.
For issues related with the integration you will need to contact Jabra.

Thanks.

I got an answer from Jabra:
In our compatibility guide, the UC version is generally recommended if it is a softphone that is not MS Teams, and in this case, it is indicated that "the installation of Jabra Direct is required for full compatibility".
Therefore, the behavior could also be related to Jabra Direct not being installed on the user's computer.

I guess, you can close the thread.

Glad to assist. ;)
