Massive 3CX WebMeeting Server Rollout

As part of our continuous improvements to 3CX WebMeeting, a batch of servers have been rolled out to cover major geographical areas. This will provide better quality of service to everyone using 3CX WebMeeting. You can expect improvements such as less delay in speech and video as well as better and sustained video quality throughout meetings.

What do you need to do?

  • Absolutely nothing! Your 3CX V15 SP4 periodically checks for new meeting servers near you and sets any newly found meeting servers as your preferred meeting location/server. When installing a new 3CX, the setup selects a meeting server closest to your geographical area and sets it as your preferred meeting server.
  • As an admin, manually changing your default meeting server can easily be done through the Management console in the “Conferencing” section under the PBX “Settings” tab.
    A list of 24+ meetings servers named by geographical location is also available for selection.
  • 3CX WebMeeting end users can also override this default meeting server selection during their travels abroad or in-house and can select a different meeting server closer to them. Clicking on the settings cogwheel during meeting creation will conveniently provide you with the same meeting server list available in the PBX.
