The 3CX Management Console should allow more granular delegation rights to avoid to give "General System Administration" rights to manage for example Digital Receptionist, Ring Groups and Call Queues by a first level support team, like a Service Desk.

Agree +1,
It would be great to setup accounts for my desktop support staff that only have rights to create/modify extensions, but not have access to things like inbound rules and sip trunks. Only a higher level tech typically touches those items. But for now, I have to give them full admin rights and hope they don't mess with other things they aren't supposed to.

+1 yes please

still actual, the "General System Administration" option has way to many options for our customers. Including the Ring Groups would be a great start, but Digital Receptionist is also requested a lot.

An idea is that we can create our own "management profile" were we can tick or untick the options we want to grant access to.

Our Service Desk team needs basic extension manipulation without being able to change inbound rules and other things.

+1, need some 'manager' access limiting to only the appropriate sections.

Is this still not implemented?

Why on earth do all the users have to see everything that's going on in the 3CX PBX, especially on other extensions?

Transparency is fine, as long as the it's granted by the admin.

As per this thread, it should be possible to disable the "Manager View" in 3CX soft phone.
All the (Windows) soft phone clients are able to access Manager view, Queue Manager view, receptionist view etc.
It should be able to restrict it to only "user view".

Thanks for implementing this!

Just ran into another case where this would really help.
The client has location managers that need to be able to update the Digital Receptionist messages for their location in the event of inclement weather or other emergencies.
It would be great if we could allow "managers" access to either all or individual Digital Receptionists without giving them the ability to...disable automatic backups with one accidental click, change system wide dial codes, adjust the timezone not realizing it was effecting offices in other timezones, etc.

I've been after this (ability to delegate granular admin rights) for a very long time. We also recently noticed that the DECT/FXS container is not visible to any level of rights assigned to an extension, and only accessible via the main admin account.

So, if this is ever fixed, maybe a tick box per container to be allowed? Maybe other considerations, such as if you are a Queue Manager, you can add/remove agents from the Queue that you are the manager of? Update the polling strategy for the queue you manage?

So, whilst this could get quite complex, a great start would be the ability to open each section/container on the left side of the console. Some settings interrelate so they would need to be grouped together.

Hello,

one of our coworkers are doing analysis on Call-Logs for example. Unfortunately in every Configuration it is possible for himself to manage his own extension. It should be possible to deny him to manage his own extension.

+2 As we have 2 customers that already requested this capability.

+1 - really useful.

I was very excited to see V16 Alpha's announcement but I've looked over the release notes and it appears this request is still being overlooked.
Since under Extensions > Rights there is already a check box to allow access the management console and already an option to manage all extensions or extensions in their groups, if we could simply add Queues and Digital Assistants to Groups and then in the group permissions add a check box for permission to manage Queues and Digital Assistants that would really help a lot.

+1 some clients want to manage their Call Q, Ring Groups, announcements and business hours, but I don't want to give them the ability to access our Google Drive via backups, and download configs for other customers.
