Hello.

Our customer uses 3CX V15.5 with 3CX Client V15.5.X.

The chef of the company uses a Yealink T48G and has 2 profiles configured on this phone because they use 2 different head numbers and he likes to change the outgoing number from time to time.
Now he also likes to record several calls, but since this is only possible with the 3CX-Client he always has to change the account (before the call even reaches him, or the client won't recognize the call) on the 3CX-Client as well as on the Yealink phone to record the call of the corresponding extension.

Is there an easier way to do this?
I can't figure out a solution where he could still switch the outgoing head number and be able to record on both extensions.

Thank you very much,

Best regards,
Sommer

Easy solution - Change the recording settings on the extension, so all calls are recorded.

I'm aware of this function, but this would create too much useless recordings and would further confuse the customer.

Hi Sommer,

He should have one account logged in the desktop client, and one account on the webclient.

Then he can press record whenever he wants. He can also use the mobile client as an alternative.

I showed him the option to use the webclient next to the softclient. We'll see if its usable for him in the long run.

Anyway though - is it possible somehow to configure a function-code to use a specific outbound rule?
E.g. typing 660123456 to use outbound rule 2 and call 0123456?

Best regards,
Sommer

Just create an outbound rule with your function-code as prefix. Then strip the digits through the outbound rule and prepend the required number.
Note that the function code can be 9 digits long. If it is longer you will not be able to strip it.

I think this is a much better solution than using 2 different extensions.

Why didn't I think of this earlier...

Thank you very much, I'll configure their 3CX like that and cut the 2nd extension.
