Hi all.
I have a sip trunk with DID numbers 3000-3099 and the carrier sends 4 digits. My extensions are also 4 digits in length and they are numbers 3000-3099. The trunk also has a main number 5743321. I am lost on the configuration. Please assist. Do I do the following steps and it works?
1. Create a SIP trunk and assign 5743321 as Main Trunk No?
2. Add single DIDs 3000-3099 on the SIP trunk?
3. Create an Inbound Rule for each and every extension with the relevant extension number on DID and destination?
4. Also create Inbound Rule for 5743321 with destination of operator?
Thank you.

You will need to confirm how many digits your provider is actually sending (most will send more than 4), then "adjust" the rules so the the digits match exactly. Any numbers that do not match a rule will go to the default route you create for the trunk, you won't use a DID rule for that.

I confirm that they are sending 4 digits. Are my steps all correct?

Step 2 is not needed. You need to create DID rules (step 3). That is what sends DID calls to the extensions.
Step 4 will be done by the default route, set when you create the trunk. Refer to the link I posted.

Who is the provider? Is there a template, or are they not supported by 3CX?

Thank you for the response. The provider is not a common provider that you would know and yes there is no template. The trunk is actually an E1 via Patton gateway thus giving us a Sip Trunk. I have gone through the link that you provided 5 times and it doesn't explain DID well. Kindly please give me brief and direct steps.

The steps you posted in your original post are correct and should work. If they do not work then please explain what the issue is and what behavior are you experiencing.
The activity log in 3CX should help you troubleshoot routing issues and the higher the logging level the more details you will get.

Here is a link on inbound rules and how they work: https://www.3cx.com/docs/manual/inbound-did-call-routing/
