V20 Digital Receptionist Prompt recording from extension MISSING

I tried to record from the extension Digital Receptionist on V20, unfortunately, it is grayed out, and cannot recorded

needed to access V18 PBX (I did not upgrade all pbx we are using yet) went to holiday, record (again another PBX) , download and upload it to the V20 PBX

Please advise how it can be address as in the future all PBX will be V20

Hi @ronenba

The reason the record button was grayed out is that the browser could not recognize a microphone so you can record the prompt. Ensure that you allow microphone access from the browser and you will be able to record the prompt.

Same issue here. After allowing phone in browser and refreshing page record button is still disabled.
Versiob: v20 update 1 / Browser: Firefox.

More important the option for recording a message via phone is missing. This feature is very important for our users. Is this comming back to v20?

1. Edit your webclient audio settings
2. 3CX can ask for microphone access which you need to grant, and pick your microphone from there.

Thanks, after allowing microphone via Settings the buttons for recording are no longer disabled.

Will a future release of 3CX bring back the option to record via a phone?

It would be really handy to bring back the option to choose an extension to record from (i.e. so the receptionist can record from an IP phone).

JohnS, can we make a request to bring this feature back!?! This is vital for several of my customers and I personally use it for them if they ask me to make a new digital receptionist! I typically login to the admin console and would have it call my admin ext and create the recording! This is very inconvenient not having that option available!
