It will be in v18...

Just to get it clear, it's really for the V18 or the V16 Update 8 ?

Do you have a source for this information?
I talked in DM with the staff. I don't know if this is NDA or whatever so I'd rather not give a name.

However, I know that for fact. I just don't know why they skip V17 lol V18 first Alpha should be expected around March/April 2021. Which corresponds to the release cycle of 3CX.

I think V18 will include a lot of new features... thus the skip of V17.

It will be V18 yes and we are well on the way with this release. I will publish more info in the coming month......

Whether it's v17, v18 v45 vA4.. .it will be the next release. I'm sure 3CX has their reasons for doing things and aren't just throwing *hit at the wall to see what sticks :).Always excited when I see a jump like that though because usually that means a significant revamp under the hood as @Frederick Marcoux suggests. But like always, if you are selling or planning on using 3CX, do it based on the features TODAY so if things get pushed you aren't left holding the bag.

V17 is an unlucky number you see, as was 13 :):)

you also can add to unlucky list V20 version number.... ( for feature releases ) ... this year are not lucky for all of us :(

hahaha, well for 3cx 2020 was the ultimate proof that its time for business to remote enable themselves :)

What is the future for the 3CX Windows client? Will it be further developed or will the focus be entirely on the 3CX Web client?

While there was at least one post on the forums from 3CX staff a while ago saying all focus would be on the web client, later posts have contradicted that, so it sounds like it's still under development. (tried to find both in a quick search but couldn't)

Edit: found it: https://www.3cx.com/community/threa...ith-hubspot-crm-integration.68374/post-298180 and yet https://www.3cx.com/community/threads/latest-windows-phone-version.72012/#post-326584 ("Windows Client will not be deprecated.")

- In the 3CX Webclient CE, I have no way to search for the phone number or name of a ring group or a call queue. We often use this option to reach whole teams.

I just searched the web client "enter name or number" for "ring" and see our ring groups. (that have "ring" in the name)

Seems like if you use it often it should be easy to remember the number? Could also go old school and simply print out a phone list.

We have decided to keep the windows client. In fact we have made many updates to it in terms of bug fixes, improved scheduled conferencing etc. It will remain as a windows softphone as we have always said it will.....

Hi Nick:

In the next updates of v16 or in the next version v18, is it expected that 3CX can be integrated at the SIP level with Ms Teams?

Kind Regards!

Hi Francisco - It will be reviewed for an update in v18, but no commitments given at this point.

What does 'integrated at the SIP level' mean to you? Because if it means to you what it means to me then you would do that at the SIP trunk provider level which would be agnostic of 3CX. Many providers have this capability (ourselves included) although the use case for this is fairly small. If you are going to use Teams, you just use Teams. Don't half-ass it.

Can someone give an explanation on SMS routing to "Call Queue" will this message be seen by entire queue or just the first person available?

Entire Queue or you can auto assign to an agent if you want....

One more vote for Teams-Integration (Status-Integration / SIP-Trunk).
