In this beta we made some final touches and improvements to provide you with a more reliable and seamless calling and messaging experience.

Even better connectivity

We’ve fine tuned the app for faster call connectivity and improved reliability. The built-in tunnel has been optimized to:

  • Be more responsive to network changes.
  • Perform better while handling video calls with the web client.

Optimized UX

3cx on android watch

If you’re using Bluetooth capable devices, you’ll be happy to know that this Android beta will now correctly show the caller ID of incoming 3CX calls. Messaging has also been improved by allowing users to reply to a conversation from a message notification received during a call.

Feedback about telecom API

As we mentioned in the previous release, some models have experienced issues with Telecom API - this is a manufacturer related problem, not a 3CX app issue.

For this reason, we added support to allow/disallow telecom API based on the model, but as we are unable to test every Android device, your feedback regarding this issue is welcome. You can let us know about any devices you have experienced problems with in the Android forum. The aim is to use this information to build a list of devices that do not support telecom API and switch off the integration by default for those individual models.

And don’t forget to let us know about your experience with your handsfree car Bluetooth systems!

Other fixes and improvements

  • Fixed one-way audio when reconnecting from cellular data during a call.
  • Fixed incoming call notification not being shown after a previous call ends.
  • Fixed actions menu in chat view not being updated.
  • Fixed incorrect unread message count after unarchiving a chat conversation.
  • Optimized call cancellation.
