The official release of our Android App is now available for download from the Google Play store. It brings improvements to the user interface appearance, app reconnection, and a simplified permissions acceptance button.
An evolved user interface
- Avatars and profile presence indicators are now always shown across all themes for an easy to view whole team status.
- Light theme users benefit from a shaded background to clearly indicate which tab the page is displaying.
- Contact cards have separate buttons for extension, mobile numbers, and email addresses, allowing quicker navigation.
- Group chats have been updated to list all participants and display their avatars.
Resilient connection to the PBX
This release brings a strengthened connectivity protocol to keep the app connected to the PBX and improves reconnection attempts.
Calling permissions simplified
During the initial setup wizard, calling permissions are now allowed by simply tapping ‘Continue’, removing the need for a first-time echo test call.
V16 users, upgrade to V18!
As previously communicated, the 3CX Android App will no longer connect to Version 16 instances. Upgrade your PBX to the latest version, which brings a better mobile experience, in terms of audio, reconnection functionality, and reliable call notifications.
