I'm a bit stuck on this one so figured I'd reach out to the community.

Ever since an upgrade from v15.5 to v16, one of our customers has been unable to see a particular extension in the management portal. The extension still appears in the "Phones" tab, however, when double-clicking to edit the extension they are presented with an error dialogue that simply says "Editing of Extension is not Allowed". This issue can't be replicated using the admin account and only affects the account of one of the managers of the system. This manager shares group membership with the extension that is not appearing, however, I've confirmed that their respective roles are correct and that the "Can see group members" option has been enabled for both User and Manager privilege levels within the group.

I've tried deleting the group and reverting back to having all extensions in the default group but the issue persists. I've just re-created the group with the same two users but this time have added a third user for testing purposes, only to find that the third user is visible and available for editing where the other user still remains invisible and un-editable. I've also tried swapping the privilege levels of the two extensions within the group but they still can't see or edit each other. Lastly, I just thought to log in as the user that isn't appearing and funnily enough they can't see their manager in the extension list within the management portal, nor can they attempt to edit their extension as they are given the same error.

Any ideas?

That is because the extension the person is trying to edit is also an admin, which will be shown when using the primary admin account.

Login as admin, look under the extension and you'll see the MC access is enabled so an admin cannot remove another admin.

Hit the nail on the head, that's working perfectly - Thanks Frederick. :)
