We are currently looking at some alternative hosted providers. Currently we use Vultr but seem to be having some SBC registration issues and I am not sure if its related to the provider or the route some SBC controllers are taking. But it hits multiple SBCs at the same time yet they are on different providers and locations.

Has anyone had these SBC drops using 3CX as their hosting platform?

We had the same issues with SBCs but Vultr wasn't the source of the issue. It was the ISP.

3CX uses DigitalOcean, which is basically the same as Vultr in terms of infrastructure.

Hello,

Regarding Hosting Providers as @ConceptsWeb said we as 3CX , we are using Digital Ocean as our Hosting Provider.
Information regarding Hosting with 3CX you can find here:
https://www.3cx.com/ordering/pricing/hosted-info/

Regarding alternative solutions for Self Hosting instances there are many options.
Some of them are:

Self Host with Digital Ocean:
https://www.3cx.com/docs/hosted-pbx-digitalocean/
Self Host with Microsoft Azure:
https://www.3cx.com/docs/hosting-pbx-phone-system-microsoft-azure/
Self Host with Amazon AWS:
https://www.3cx.com/docs/cloud-pbx-amazon-aws/
Self Host with Amazon LightSail:

Yes I was thinking the same execpt that each site has a different provider! So the ISP is not the common cause of failure. Nor was the 3cx software or hardware. We even have 1 site running a windows SBC so that eliminated that.

What were were able to find thus far is a common IP for 3 sites. All with different ISP providers though. Ive contacts Vultr to see if they can assist but the problem is, whoever owns the switch on that public address probably does not give about fixing issues and we cannot change routes. I can change providers but that may use the same routes too.

Yeah same thing here. That's just internet unfortunately!

DigitalOcean will have the same issue. Google, Azure and AWS should be better since most of them are connected to Internet local POPS.

Most providers will give you a test IP or you can simply spin up a small, cheap instance and then you'll have an IP to test against and you can see if you hit that same problem spot upstream before moving 3CX. You can also open tickets with the ISP for reach location that is having the issue as they can may be able to help as well. Keep in mind that even if either Vultr or your ISP(s) are successful, you can be weeks out from a fix as most carriers would require scheduling a maintenance window to do something like replace that equipment or update software, etc.

You should use a supported hosting platform or just 3Cx Hosted. Not try and do your own thing and then end up with a bunch of support questions and unhappy customers. There is absolutely no reason to use Vultr over Digital ocean and furthermore with the number of customers you have you would best use 3CX Hosting and leave updates etc to 3CX....
