Progress report updates on advanced audio support improvements.

In response to valuable user feedback and our ongoing commitment to excellence, we've made significant enhancements to our 3CX Meet mobile apps. We're happy to share these updates with you today. Read on for a summary of the improvements.

The Evolution of 3CX: A Journey of Innovation

In the fast-paced world of video conferencing, 3CX has consistently been a trailblazer, constantly innovating and improving the user experience. Our latest development is the enhanced support for external devices in our mobile apps. Whether you're using wired, or Bluetooth speakers or headsets, you can now enjoy a seamless and high-quality audio experience.

Advanced Audio Support in Mobile Apps

We've taken our mobile app experience to the next level with advanced audio support. Our iOS and Android apps now offer improved automatic switching between various external audio devices. Whilst this enhancement should cater to most users' needs, we've also introduced a user interface allowing you to manually switch between various audio devices connected to your own device if you choose.

Included are screenshots that delve into the user interface, showcasing the mobile app's audio device selection menu. Users can customize their experience by choosing Microphone and Speaker preferences. Please note, however, that the UI (API) is unable to display the currently active device. As a result, the Microphone and Speaker sections appear empty by default, showing no active selection.

One helpful screenshot guides users through the process of selecting a microphone, affording a glimpse into the variety of connected devices at their disposal. This includes options such as the integrated bottom microphone, wired headsets, rear integrated microphone, and Bluetooth microphones. In parallel, we also illustrate the options for speaker devices, offering choices such as speakerphone, wired headsets, and Bluetooth devices.

It's important to note when utilizing an external device like a Bluetooth component, users are advised to employ exclusively the Bluetooth device for both microphone and speaker functions. Whilst experimenting with alternative configurations - such as combining a Bluetooth speaker with the built-in microphone is welcome - it's important to acknowledge this specific combination is not officially supported. Generally, a guiding principle emerges: users can comfortably utilize combinations of the built-in devices, yet combinations that bridge the gap between built-in and external devices present a certain level of complexity and may yield varied outcomes.
