Improved provisioning & configuration for Android 14.
A new update for the 3CX Android app is available for download. This latest update removes the need to reinstall the app if the user does not grant camera permission during configuration - the camera is required to scan the QR code and auto-provision the app. It also improves the provisioning for Pixel devices, more on this below.
Android 14 Pixel Device Provisioning Improvements
Some Pixel device users, especially those on MDM solutions, were having difficulties provisioning the app with Android 14.
As a result when a user was trying to provision the app, they could not access the Android settings to optimize the battery usage and ended up in a loop. We’ve now added an “Ignore” button to resolve this issue.
Note: Android users on an MDM solution still need to optimize their battery usage for 3CX. We strongly recommend you speak to your administrator to allow for battery optimization for the app.
