With the latest release of Update 6 Alpha we are also adding Debian 10 (Buster) as a target platform for the PBX and SBC, available in Technical Preview. Work is at an advanced stage to achieve production use and make your transition from Debian 9 to 10 as smooth and as easy as possible, 3CX-style!
Advantages on Buster
Debian 10 is now the main focus of the popular Linux distribution and includes:
- Latest Linux LTS (Long-Term Support) Kernel versions with much better hardware support.
- Latest stable versions and security updates for Debian-supported packages and libraries, in a long 5-year maintenance cycle.
- NFtables, the new built-in software firewall, replaced iptables to combine better and easier syntax with improved support for dual-stack IPv4 and IPv6 configurations.
- A database upgrade to PostgreSQL version 11, offering increased robustness and performance for your PBX.
- Corosync 3, ensuring your SBC HA (High Availability) installs run on the latest stable version of the clustering engine.

The PBX and SBC Technical Preview release is aimed towards PBX administrators to test in non-production environments and provide us with their feedback. To try it out you just need to get the 3CX Buster Tech Preview ISO and install the latest PBX or SBC on a spare machine or VM!
