H264 intercom support and extended contacts search functionality.
The latest release of our iOS application is available to TestFlight members. No longer blocked by licensing rules, we’ve now added H264 support for your SIP and doorbell phones! We’ve also extended search functionality. When contacting your customers via the new CRM lookup functionality it’s now faster and more efficient. Read on for more details.
H264 Support: Elevate from Call to Video in your Intercom
The new iOS client now has support for H264 codec. This allows you to make video calls to H264 capable SIP phones, as well as answer an intercom phone with video capabilities. Visitors can simply press the speed-dial button assigned to your extension and you will receive a normal call, with a dialog to elevate to a video call for those door bells that support H264 codec. One can then open the door by entering a code that’s pre-configured in the door phone’s WebUI via the keypad.
CRM Searching: Results from Contacts, PBX and CRM
You can now search your CRM contacts from within the Contacts page, without the need to have these contacts synchronized to your extension. By doing a regular search for a contact - by name, email or mobile number - our app now returns matches based on your search criteria not only from the PBX or your iOS contacts, but also from your preferred CRM software.
The CRM lookup search results are available when:
- Searching in Contacts screen
- Sending an sms
- Adding participants to a scheduled meeting
- Transferring an ongoing call
Note: This feature requires Update 8.
Other Features / Fixes
Refactoring was done for presence detection of team members in the all screens. This has removed the problem in certain iOS screens - Recents and Voicemails - where status was not updated at run time. Further refactoring was made in active conferencing to make sure all information is presented accordingly. Improvements were also made in chats which now result in a faster and more reliable user experience when reading your chats, even when disconnected from the internet.
