Version 20.0.0.721 now on iOS TestFlight
The new Beta release of the 3CX app for iOS - in preparation for the final release - includes better support for iOS 17 devices and faster connection with JWT. We’ve also made fixes and improvements in our reconnection protocols. Read on to learn more.
Full Support for iOS 17
iOS released its latest operating system on 18th September 2023. Shortly after the 3CX for iOS Beta was available with compatibility to iOS 17. We’ve continued to improve on this. Beta 2 is fully in sync with the newest iOS features and functionalities.
Better visuals
The dialer is updated with dedicated icons, better resolution across all Apple devices, and an overall neater design. Simplicity is key with our interface.
40% faster connection with JWT
We’ve added Json Web Tokens (JWT) to our app to strengthen authentication and authorization mechanisms. This helps to reduce the load on the server, and improve response times and system performance in general.

Other improvements
- Better handling of chat transfers to queues and ring groups
- Voicemail includes more detailed results for more reliability
- A more efficient call recovery system in place in poor network connectivity
- Improved connectivity between the app and PBX
