iOS 18 new Limited Access Contact feature support.
iOS18 has a new feature to limit access to contacts. If users choose this option, 3CX now fully supports it. With 5.1 BETA, you can give 3CX access to only selected contacts so there’s no need to share your full address book. Requested by members of the 3CX iOS Community, this limited access feature gives you more control over your data. Read on for more.
Compatibility with iOS18 Limited Access for Contacts
iOS 18, lets you grant apps like 3CX limited access to your contacts. This means your app can only access specific contacts that you choose rather than your entire contact list. It’s a feature that provides you with more control over your privacy by allowing you to selectively share your contact information with apps.
For example, I have 208 personal iOS device contacts in my phone. I don't want to share all of them due to privacy issues or indeed any other reason. Before we had to give full access. Now we don’t need to!
