New release brings more meeting control for co-hosts & new mosaic view.

The latest update to the 3CX Video Conferencing apps for Android and iOS introduces a new mosaic view allowing you to choose which participants you want to see and pin them - up to 5.

Additionally, co-Hosts get some new control functions previously enabled to hosts only. They can now remove participants from meetings, and set the spotlight.

By default the apps can only show up to 5 participants on your screen, more would drain your battery and mean your screen would be overcrowded. The new mosaic view allows you to choose which 5 participant videos you want on your mobile screen. To do so, simply go to the Participant Panel > Select a User > click on ‘Video Pinning’.

You’re also able to spot participants joining the meeting via a mobile device. This is visible with the blue mobile icon displayed in the participant’s name bar - highlighted below.

Added features for Co-Hosts in the Participants panel

Co-hosts now hold greater power in video conferences, as we’ve enabled two features previously allowed to Hosts only.

Co-Hosts are now able to remove participants from the meeting (“Kick”), and set a specific user in “Spotlight”, prominently displaying their video for everyone to see.

Other Updates & Fixes

  • Translations and class handling feedback/react have been removed.
  • Recording button enabled (when mcu is configured for server side recording).
  • Technical updates made to packages and flutter.
  • New bump version number.
