Lock down of SIP Trunks and system extensions
Previously Group Owners and Administrators were able to manage system wide extensions and SIP Trunks - this is no longer possible. Now, only those system extensions and trunks that are part of their group can be managed. If you wish to manage a department specific SIP trunk or system extension you must move it to the group you are part of. Note that in many installs users are members of many groups. In these cases Group Managers can manage all the items in the groups they are a part of.
CFD performance improvements
Update 8A now optimizes CFD apps performance to avoid any previous resource issues.
SMS handling of incoming Alphanumeric Sender IDs.
This fix relates to incoming messages that are Alphanumeric Sender IDs - for example a business or an organization name rather than a E.164 formatted phone number. In this case, the system was disregarding the incoming message. In Update 8 the Alphanumeric sender information is routed and displayed in your Chats as per the example above.
Fix in Recordings page
The recordings issue affecting multi-page results is fixed.
Ability to turn off RPS for on premise installs
Update 8 makes provisioning easier for both on premise and cloud installs providing you have split DNS and use 3CX provisioning methods. If you are using a VPN, local provisioning or another RPS server for example then you can switch off this behavior by going to the Management Console >> Settings >> Parameters and search for RPS_LOCAL and setting the value to 0.
This is only relevant for new installs - existing installs will have this value set to 0 already!
How to Get V18 Update 8 A BETA
Users can access the update from the management console. Update to "New 18.0 Update 8 A BETA."
