Reminder: Manage User & Live Chat Settings from the Web Client

3CX Web Client - Settings
We are working on bringing a new and streamlined management interface - users with administrative rights will be able to access these settings right from their Web Client. To take advantage of this new management interface:

Step 1: Enable System Admin rights for select users

  1. Log in to the Management Console
  2. In the ‘Users’ section, select the user you want to grant admin rights to
  3. Go to the ‘Rights’ tab and enable “Allow Management Console Access”
  4. In the ‘System Management’ tick “System Administration”
  5. An ‘Admin’ icon will now be visible on the left-hand menu of the Web Client

Step 2: Update settings directly from the Web Client

Once a manager accesses the ‘Admin’ options of the Web Client, they can:

  • Resend 3CX welcome emails with log-in credentials
  • Edit users’ names, email addresses, and mobile numbers
  • Allow a user to send SMS messages via a specific SIP Trunk
  • Edit 3CX Talk and Meet links
  • Configure users’ bespoke status schedules and break hours
  • Create, edit and delete live chat configurations

To note: New live chat bubble settings, including styling and privacy options, can only be configured from the Web Client. It is no longer possible to configure these from the Management Console.
