A setup guide for 3CX video conferencing background blur feature.

The increase in remote working has made video conferencing a daily tool. But as the physical space between work and home began to blur - your video conferencing screen didn’t! One of the challenges of video meetings is the presence of distracting backgrounds, ranging from funny, funnily embarrassing, and plain old unprofessional. Fortunately, the 3CX background blur feature saves the day! Read on to find out more about the feature and how to easily set it up.

What is the Background Blur Feature?

The Background Blur feature is a functionality available in 3CX video conferencing, allowing users to blur the background during video meetings. The feature is designed to provide the following:

  • Location Anonymity. This is useful if you work from home but don’t have a dedicated workspace. Using this feature is easy and doesn’t require extra equipment or software. With just a toggle of a button within the 3CX video conference window, you can enable or disable the background blur feature during your video calls.
  • Privacy. Aside from improving the visual appearance of video calls, the background blur feature also plays a big role in safeguarding your privacy. By blurring the background, you can prevent others from seeing your personal surroundings or sensitive information.

The background blur feature is an important addition to our video conferencing software. It helps you, the user, to present yourself professionally and to ensure your privacy during remote meetings. We have no doubt this feature adds value to your video conferencing experience.
