The 3CX Management Console should allow more granular delegation rights to avoid to give "General System Administration" rights to manage for example Digital Receptionist, Ring Groups and Call Queues by a first level support team, like a Service Desk.

Hi, I would like to add to this a bit. I think Phones tab should be included in the Manage all extension rights.

I am the admin of the server, but i want my staff to be able to create extension and provide a working IP phone without me being involved for the rest of the employees.

More granular access and an audit trail of changes is essential! +1

Would be good for users to be able to manage there MOH without having full admin access.
This seems to have been asked for a long time. Does anyone give feedback as to if it is being looked at all ?

Stop giving us new features for a while and please focus on lots of things left behind. This can be also a major improvement of 3CX even if invisible to customers.

We could really do with a full range and level of permissions a’la windows security policy levels of granularity, local admins not being able to see everyone is incredibly frustrating and we don’t want to be forced to provide PBX admin level to multiple users on a site

Also we need an audit trail so when the security level issue is finally fixed, we can see who has changed what on the system so it can be rolled back if needed quickly..... Creating dummy user with ‘can manage all’ permissions that then cant see all is ridiculous...

Coming next year in update 6/7:

Albeit with no fixed date for this (states maybe). The audit log is something we could really do with seeing ASAP as we need to see who is making what changes when multiple users have access to a system.

We need this urgently many administrators are causing problems by making change where not to.

I'm with all of you now. +1

We really need this feature - we want to provide access to the administrator console for users without them from accessing the general system parameter tiles.

We want to give them access to:
  1. Extensions --> which can be configured right now (lets them update extensions, etc.)
  2. Ring Groups
  3. Digital Receptionists

Basically the settings that require them to have the necessary access to update greetings for bad weather or early closings, etc. without them having access to portions of the system that can cause performance or other problems for things they should not be adjusting / testing on their own.

If it is easier to add access to the Web Client so an extension can be provided access to update digital receptionist / ring group members on their own that would be fine.

We want to provide access to clients so they have control and feel they have access to make changes on their own system without always open a case.

I've seen deployments where the level 1 technicians are barely able to or unable to do certain tasks we would like them to do because the next permission level is just about everything so they end up with very limited permissions.

access to call logs, call records and call reports

I agree.

Managers should also be able to change IVR prompts recordings and Greetings recordings without needing admin rights!

Bring back the admin permission from v15.5 at minimum. The permissions on v16 are unworkable

How is this still in consideration? People have been asking for this for 3 years!
