For V20 U4-U7 users free transcription beta will be discontinued on Monday.
As per our earlier blog announcement, 3CX Cloud Transcription for Update 7 and earlier will be discontinued approximately one month after Update 8 Final, ensuring a clean transition to the new transcription architecture.
As we reach this milestone next week, from Monday March 9 onwards, if you’re on V20 U4-U7 and are using transcription, it will stop working.
Continue Using Transcription
Transcription in the previous builds was introduced as part of a beta. As development progressed and the feature matured, the beta has reached the end of its testing cycle.
If you wish to continue using transcription, you must upgrade to Update 8 with ENT+ or move to ENT/AI to use onboard transcription.
What You Should Do
If your system is currently running V20 Update 4-7 and relies on transcription, plan your upgrade to Update 8 ASAP. You can do this directly from your Admin Console in just a few clicks.
