Feedback and fixes in preparation for final release.

Following feedback after the recent Update 8 BETA, we’ve done more testing and followed through with a good number of fixes as a result. We’re moving confidently forward with the Release Candidate today. Read on for a summary of what's included as well as details on who can access it and how.

Update 8 - The Story So Far!

Of note is our reminder to start actively preparing for the requirement to set up a system owner - instead of a root admin - in your Management Console and / or Web Client. If you’re not sure what steps to take we’ve put an assign your system owner guide together to help. You’ll also recall that this is a major update overall. Here’s a reminder on our other key milestones from Update 8 Alpha forward:

What This Release Candidate Includes:

  • Fixed issue with License Activation due to missed Reseller ID.
  • Fixed issue with Backup/Restore not triggering when Scheduled Weekly and Day specified is Sunday.
  • Fixed memory leaks in System Service caused by events in CRMs.
  • Fixed issue with Call journaling when extension is unregistered and has destination end call.
  • Fixed Recordings are not deleted on Sharepoint when you Prepend/Append to the Caller ID.
  • Fixed issue with Double Request when going to /contacts.
  • Fixed Typo in PostgreSQL template.
  • Fixed issue with Empty SQL statements causing an error in the log.
  • Updated Translations.
  • Fixed Dialer to fit longer names.
  • Fixed issue with Call Log refresh when searching for the last 30 days.
  • Fixed issue with Chat Log WhatsApp and SMS where tagged as internal in WC/DA Chat Log CSV Export.

How to Get V18 Update 8 RC

Only recommended for testing! This version is not suitable for production systems. Current V18 Update 7 users running on Linux can try out Update 8 RC. Go to updates: "Update 8 RC." 3CX FREE and 3CX SMB hosts will be automatically updated.
