Alongside it, we’re also introducing 4SC Basic Free, a free tier designed for very small deployments. Both paid and free tiers deliver voice communication without the complexity of advanced setups.

Downgrade Option Upon Renewal

We’re committed to ensuring customers can always choose the edition that best fits their needs. Existing customers have the option to downgrade to the Basic Edition upon license renewal if they find that its comprehensive feature set is sufficient for their organization.

Designed to Keep Costs Low

Since our Coming Soon announcement, we’ve made some pricing adjustments. This results in Basic Edition pricing being lower than previously anticipated, making it an even more affordable option for smaller installations! This reinforces Basic Edition as a low-risk, cost-effective way to get started with 3CX.

4SC Basic Free - Start with 3CX at No Cost

With the introduction of 4SC Basic Free, customers continue to have an option to start using 3CX at no cost. This free tier is designed for very small deployments and simple setups, providing a straightforward way to experience the 3CX platform. It can be deployed on-premises, giving organizations and individuals a flexible way to get started with modern VoIP without upfront licensing costs.

The Free Basic Edition is optimized for the 3CX Web Client and Mobile Apps. Users can handle calls, messages and chat directly from their browser or smartphone without the need for IP Phones.

With the free edition, you can also enjoy the flexibility of using your preferred email provider. Just remember to configure your custom SMTP after installation, as the default 3CX SMTP is not supported.

4SC Basic Free supports up to 10 users, making it ideal for very small teams, home offices, test environments or hobbyists who only require core telephony functionality. As requirements grow, users can easily upgrade to 8SC+ Basic, PRO, or Enterprise/AI editions.

Note: 4SC Free license keys that are created but not activated within 60 days will automatically be deleted. Once activated, the license must be manually renewed each year through the 3CX Portal. If it is not renewed, the license will expire.
