Provisioning works great with multiple phones. the only thing left is the Outlook interface so the journal can work.

Install 3CX CRM and enable the outlook plugin. Then all the outlook features will be available.

My customers very need the Autoanswer feature. I cannot move to new client because of absence of Autoanswer or delayed answer.

Do I need to upgrade V11 to V12 first or can I upgrade V11 to V12SP1 directly?

Thanks Andreas and Nick! Have Outlook 2010 working! All works fine in Citrix XenApp too! Great job!

FYI; The management, reports and wallboard web console interfaces do not work with IE 10, either does anything else really, unless in Compatibility Mode.

The CRM Integration update fails install on Win 8.1 x64. I notice that Win 7 x64 and Win 8 x64 aren’t listed in the error message as incompatible so hopefully it’s just a case of a Windows Installer requirement which hasn’t been updated since the release of Win 8.1?

    September 25, 2013 at 3:33 am
    • @Jake – thanks for the heads up – we did not make any tests on 8.1. Maybe it is not complete yet. Can you try another installation (NOT 3CX) and see if that fails too?

  8. More phones with one extension. Thats just great guys!, spares me allot of “useless” extensions in Hotdesk situations :-). Heroes!

@Nick – Win 8.1 has been released to Technet/MSDN customers but isn’t available to retail customers for another couple of weeks so understandable if you haven’t covered it yet. What do you mean by “try another installation (NOT 3CX)”? I’ve not had any problems with other product installs (MS Office etc) and indeed 3CX Phone is working fine on the 8.1 systems we have.

    September 26, 2013 at 6:32 am
    • @Braam – Thanks – Multitenant edition coming soon – We want to add some new features to it. Stay on the lookout.

SP1 has been working great and the updates to the new windows app are appreciated. is there any way that you guys can add the ability to remember custom size and appearance settings? and maybe add a setting to not pop up the app when a call comes in and not sort call recordings by name but by date like in there was myphone? our cs agents complain that the app kicks them out of our POS system when a call comes in so they keep the app closed and they can’t find call recordings because they are not sorted by date. I would like them to use the app but those small problems keep them from wanting to use it. any chance of these additions in the next update? please?

“All works fine in Citrix XenApp too!”

Are you using 3CX Phone with Citrix, if so, with how many users?
    What Headset are you using?

I would like to hear more about this installation…
You can contact me directly at jed@jed.dk

    Thanks in advance

Hi Andreas Psyllos & Nick Borg ,
    I’m using Micorosoft Outlook 2013 32Bit(15.0.4517.1504).
The previous 3CX ver. 11 was working correctly with Outlook 2010 32Bit ,the journal automaticly update on all steps like missed, dialed and received calls. I have the 3CXCRM installed and it works with the contacs perfectly but does not update the journal.

    September 30, 2013 at 3:46 am
    • @Christian – Can you tell us how you see the journal on 2013? Didn’t Microsoft remove it from outlook? Reading a Microsoft article on discontinued items in Outlook 2013 and it seems that Joarnaling is one of them.

To answer my own question: upgrade works directly from V11 to V12SP1…

I can’t find where to hide the caller ID on calls in the new 3CX Phone. I used to be able to allow certain users to see the ID of the callee or caller and others to just see they were on a call (but not who).

Conference invitations no longer contain the full text of the invite, in Outlook you don’t even see the text at all (Outlook auto-replaces the email with the actual invite in your inbox). In other email clients you can only see the text in your inbox, not on your calendar. That’s unfortunate…

Hello, when I restart my pc, the user account of 3cx phone is deleted. I have to reconfigure each time. Have you an idea of the problem? Thank you. (Win 7 64bit – 3cx phone 12.0.32495.0)

    • Andreas Psyllos

      Hi Benjamin,

to resolve your issue please do the following:

      1. Open C:\Users\yourusername\AppData\Roaming\3CXPhone for Windows folder (make sure you enable see hidden files and folders in the windows explorer menu since AppData is a hidden folder)
      2. Delete the file named 3CXPhone.xml
      3. Start 3CXPhone for Windows and add your account again.

We are aware of this issue and this will be fixed in the next update without any user intervention. Thank you for your patience and if you have any further inquiries please let us know.

      Best Regards
